Kerning

Kerning is the white space between the letters and enables to amount it, so to adjust the spacing between two consecutive characters. With certain letter pairs, such as AV, moving the letters closer together improves their appearance on the printed page. You can kern text interactively using the Shape tool or manually by typing values in the Format Text dialog box.
